Description of studies
The School of French Law addresses its offer to those students and graduates who are interested in French law, especially business law and French legal language.
The primary goal of the School is to provide students with practical knowledge that will be a particular asset on the job market, and that will help them participate professionally in serving Polish and French entrepreneurs who have business relations with each other and who conduct business in Poland and France.
The School of French Law is organized by the Faculty of Law and Administration of Lazarski University in cooperation with Universite Lumiere Lyon 2 and with the renowned French law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel.
The lectures will be conducted in French and will cover subjects of essential importance from the point of view of business relations between entrepreneurs from Poland and France. Classes will be held on a weekend basis (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
Graduates will receive a certificate of completion of the Lazarski University School of French Law.
Program
The following classes will be taught in the first semester:
- French Legal Language - FRANCAIS JURIDIQUE (10H)
- History of French Law - HISTOIRE DU DROIT FRANCAIS (10H)
- Constitutional Law - DROIT CONSTITUTIONNEL (15H)
- Sources of French Law - SOURCES DU DROIT FRANCAIS (15H)
The following classes will be taught in the second semester:
- Civil Law (Civil Liability and Contracts) - DROIT CIVIL (RESPONSABILITE/CONTRATS)(15H)
- Judicial Structure -. ORGANISATION JUDICIAIRE (10H)
- Administrative Law - DROIT ADMINISTRATIF (15H)
- Commercial Law - DROIT COMMERCIAL (15H)
Fees
Cost for 2 semesters:
- for students who are students/graduates of Lazarski University - PLN 1,500
- for non-Lazarski University students - PLN 2,000
Recruitment
Requirement for admission is:
- filling out online form,
- submission of documents:
- application for enrollment (application downloadable here),
- identity document for review for data verification,
- language certificate (B2 level).
Language skills
Candidates are required to have B2 level French language skills.
Candidates may present an international certificate or other official document confirming knowledge of the language at this level (e.g., a certificate from a language school or the Foreign Language Studio of Lazarski University).
Enrollment in the School of French Law continues until September 15, 2022
