On June 18th-19th, 2010, the Institute of American Economy and Transatlantic Relations organized a conference entitled: “Drivers from Higher to Quality Education: Drivers of Change and Choice: What Can We Learn About Competitiveness By Comparing U.S. and EU Education at the University Level ?. "

The aim of this conference was to compare US and European higher education systems in order to list and analyze the causes of the relatively poor performance of European universities, and to assess efforts under the Bologna Process and educational reforms carried out in Europe, looking in particular at Poland. A group of over 40 experts in the field of education and economy presented their work during a series of 6 discussion panels.
The co-organizer of the conference was the Harvard Club of Poland, Association of Comparative Economic Studies, the Polish-American Fullbright Commission and the Foundation for Polish Science, and the patronage was taken by the European Parliament and the Polish Ministry of Finance.
