Ludwik Berger, known to Żoliborz youth as "Długi Ludek", is not only an actor and director from the "Reduta" community, but also a second lieutenant, commander of the "Kotłownia" units and the "B-01" company. His involvement in the formation of the Home Army Regiment "Baszta" began with Żoliborz scout teams no. 14 and 16, where he served as a spiritual leader.
Today we remember Ludwik Berger as a commander of numerous daring actions, characterized by audacity and determination in taking weapons from Wehrmacht and Postschütz soldiers. His legacy is not only the story of a hero, but also an inspiration to sacrifice for higher values.
