The student does not live by science alone. Time for pleasure for the soul and eyes. We invite you to two lectures on Polish art of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, which will be conducted for us by Przemysław Głowacki.

<strong><em>1. The most important Polish artists of the 19th century</em></strong>
&nbsp;How do history and art interpenetrate?&nbsp; We will learn about the works of Piotr Michałowski, Jan Matejko, Józef Chełmoński, Stanisław Wyspiański and Jacek Malczewski.
<strong><em>2. Polish art around 1989</em></strong>
&nbsp;Contemporary art evokes extreme emotions as well as prompts deeper reflection on the world around us.&nbsp; Reacts to the social, political and economic situation.&nbsp; We will get to know artists such as: Magdalena Abakanowicz, Roman Opałka, Katarzyna Kozyra, Joanna Rajkowska and Wilhelm Sasnal.

About the lecturer:
<strong>Przemysław Głowacki</strong> - art historian, museum educator, teacher.
For over twenty years he has been involved in the popularization of knowledge about art and museum education. Currently he runs, among others, a <link https://artdone.wordpress.com/wyklady-w-zamku-krolewskim-w-warszawie/ _blank>series of lectures</link> at the Royal Castle in Warsaw, art history classes at the Warsaw Film School and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
His passion is visiting museums. He co-organizes thematic tours <link https://artdone.wordpress.com/wycieczki/ _blank>Expeditions with Art</link>. He runs a website devoted to art and exhibitions www.artdone.pl.
