Holi - the Festival of Colours at Lazarski University on the first day of spring

On 21 March, we are inviting you to the meeting with the fascinating culture of India. We will be playing with colours, dance and throw colourful holi powders on each other. Holi is a holiday of happiness and love. It is celebrated as a symbol of victory of good over evil and the arrival of spring.

What do you know about India? What is the religion the citizens of this country practice? How many official languages and dialects do they speak? What do they have for breakfast? On 21 March our students will take you on an unforgettable journey to this fascinating country. At first all ladies will get fabulously colourful bindis from us. Then, you will learn the customs, traditional dances, the most beautiful places and unforgettable flavours. Rinky Basak, Swati Patel, Nizar Jajffer and Deepansu Lakhwan, whom you know from the coffee shop, will tell you all about those things. During the presentations, you will have an opportunity to try silver sweets: kaju katli.
A solo, duet and group dance show will finish the first part of the meeting. You will see Swati Patel, Rinky Basak, Suchi Patel, Divya Tandel and Salomi Vani. After a treat served by an excellent restaurant, Tulsi, and a cup of aromatic Indian white tea, we will invite you to the courtyard. The cheerleaders of Lazarski Dance Crew dancing with the colourful Holi powders will make you be in a wonderful mood. Our DJ, Jacek Korzeniowski, will prepare only dance hits for you. Holi colours will look best on white clothes. But better wear glasses so that nothing will get into your eyes.
The event will give you the opportunity to apply mehndi, do some shopping at the stand of Desi Bazaar and take pictures at a flowery scene.
