The Rector of Lazarski University announces a competition
for the position of assistant professor (post-doc) in connection with the implementation of the OPUS 24 project No. 2022/47/B/NZ7/02729 entitled "Potential of T-lymphocyte profiling in planning personalized treatment of multiple sclerosis", funded by the National Science Center.

Project description:

The main objective of the project is to identify and characterize changes in the T-lymphocyte transcriptome of patients with multiple sclerosis of the projection-remission form (RRMS) that may affect the response to current disease-modifying drugs. The initial data source for the project will be the results of single cell sequencing (scRNA-seq).

Requirements:
  • possession of a doctoral degree in the discipline: biology, biotechnology, medical biology or related,
  • Experience in the application of experimental immunology techniques, in particular in cell isolation from peripheral blood, flow cytometry, cell sorts by flow cytometry and magnetic isolation methods, cell culture, cell viability/apoptosis/activity determination assays,
  • Experience in molecular biology and proteomics techniques, especially in DNA/RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, amplification by PCR, RT-PCR (ddPCR), electrophoresis, Western-blot method,
  • advanced knowledge of statistical methods,
  • experience in mathematical modeling methods and microarray analysis techniques will be an added advantage,
  • Experience in applying and implementing research projects,
  • familiarity with MS Office and programs supporting genetic and molecular analysis,
  • ability to work in a team, high motivation to work independently, responsibility for assigned tasks, scientific curiosity, high motivation to publish scientific papers,
  • very good knowledge of English
Description of main tasks:

Implementation of scientific work within the framework of the project, including:

  • isolation and phenotypic evaluation of lymphocytes,
  • Isolation of genetic material, synthesis of libraries,
  • genetic and molecular analysis of genes,
  • study of gene expression at the level of RNA and proteins,
  • statistical analysis of results,
  • proposing new analyses and research directions depending on the results obtained.
Terms of employment:
  • type of contract: employment contract,
  • remuneration under the project funds in the amount of PLN 140,000.00 per year (gross - gross),
  • period of employment: 42 months,
  • work in an ambitious and dynamic team.

  3. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is the Labor Law: art. 22[1] and par. 3 of the Regulation of the Minister of Family, Labor and Social Policy of 10.12.2018 on employee records and Article 6(1)(c) of the DPA, while other data not required by law, provided in documents, on the basis of consent Article 6(1)(a) of the DPA, which can be revoked at any time.
  4. Your personal data will be kept by the Administrator for the period necessary to fulfill the above-mentioned purpose, i.e. until the recruitment is completed. Lazarski University will process your personal data for a period of 9 months, including in subsequent employee recruitments if you give your consent, which can be revoked at any time.

  7. You have the right to request from the Administrator access to your personal data, the right to rectify, erase or restrict processing, the right to data portability.
  8. You have the right to lodge a complaint to the supervisory authority - the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection.
  9. Provision of your data in the scope resulting from Article 22[1] of the Labor Code is mandatory to participate in the recruitment procedure. Provision of other personal data is voluntary.
