On April 18-19, the First Poznan Conference of the University Library's Scientometric Center "Bibliometric Analyses of Open Science" was held, attended by scientists, librarians and science and project staff from all over the country, including the Lazarski University Library.
The conference was organized by the University Library in Poznan and the Laboratory of Science Communication at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, and was held under the honorary patronage of Adam Mickiewicz University's Vice-Chancellor for Science Prof. Katarzyna Dziubalska-Kołaczyk.
The event provided a unique opportunity to expand knowledge of open science, as well as to network with other participants to exchange views and experiences.
During the conference, issues related to the involvement of libraries in open science and bibliometric activities were discussed. Speakers emphasized the importance of cooperation between scientists and librarians in this area, resulting in the implementation of tasks at a high level, in line with the expectations of the scientific community. Methods of using bibliometric analysis in scientific research were also presented.
At the end of the first day we had the opportunity to visit the beautiful 120-year-old edifice of the University Library in Poznan at 38/40 Ratajczaka Street.
