What especially impressed the Jury: Ms Agnieszka Sycińska, MA, Foreign Language Centre Director and Foreman of the Jury; Mr Tomasz Braun, PhD, Deputy Rector for International Cooperation, Chair of Lazarski University Council of Experts; Mr Ostap Kushnir, PhD, Deputy Dean for Programmes and Education, Policy Research Department; and Mr Paweł Najechalski, PhD, Engineer, Deputy Dean for Students’ Affairs, Quantitative Methods Department was the case study of Nokia. Not only the ideas but also the professional and relaxed way of presenting them distinguished the winners from others. We cordially congratulate the team of David Chertkov, Sebastian Foryś, Anna Pyrohova and Evgeniy Vishtakailo. The Tesco case study took second place. We really liked their solution concerning self-service shops open 24/7. J We congratulate the team of Adam Bajger, Michał Figura and Mateusz Raciborski. The team of Alan Kuna, Paweł Marchlewski and Mariusz Wiśniewski took third place. It analysed problems that the Yahoo search engine, once very popular, faced.

Case study of Nokia wins
We congratulate the winners of the case study competition. This year the substantive level has been very even as students based their work on the experience gained during the first edition of the contest. All participants did very detailed research and proposed innovative solutions.
