On Thursday, 26 April 2018, the Centre of Polish Language and Culture Training of the FLC organised Poland Day

This year it was devoted to the 100th anniversary of the restoration of independence.

First, a short cartoon made by our Iranian student Amir presented the history of Poland.
Next, the speakers told us about the circumstances that led to the revival of Poland. They presented outstanding Poles whose visions and dreams gave birth to independent Poland: Ignacy Paderewski, who played it on the piano; Józef Piłsudski, who performed the Miracle at the Vistula, Eugeniusz Kwiatkowski and Władysław Grabski, whose ideas and reforms opened Poland to the world.
A film produced with the participation of our students attracted great interest: they provoked their mates to think about patriotism, freedom and independence.
We also had an opportunity to listen to most interesting songs about liberty. At the end, everybody could make a national cockade and decorate our “tree of liberty”.
