Invitation to the European Open Lecture on “Building relationships effectively in a project team”!

The Europe Direct Information Centre in Warsaw managed by the Department of European Funds and Development Policy of the City Hall of the capital city of Warsaw has great pleasure to invite you to an European Open Lecture on “Building relationships effectively in a project team” scheduled for 13 December 2016 (Tuesday) at 9 a.m. in the conference room of Centrum Kreatywności Targowa.

<strong>MODULE I – COMMUNICATIONS (9:00-10:30)</strong><strong></strong>
This module will feature practical information on effective methods of communications, persuasion and manipulation (as well as defending against it); the participants will also be role-playing elements of interpersonal communications in simulated situations and events. Gaining skills useful in pro-business activity, connected with giving professional presentations to large groups of people and public speaking in the process of creating image and communicating with the environment, will be an additional bonus.
<strong>MODULE II – RELATIONSHIPS (10:45-12:15)</strong>
This part of the training will be dedicated to aspects connected with building relationships, understanding the foundations of the team-building phenomenon, managing relationships and forming durable ties. Training participants will learn what factors make some relationships more durable than others and why. Additionally, as a useful skill bonus, they will be learning to prevent attempts at manipulation that are directed against them. They will also be familiarising themselves with some aspects of the psychology of social impact and the sociology of interpersonal relationships in order to take effective actions in the context of their current and planned professional career.
<strong>MODULE III – TEAM-BUILDING (12:30-14:00)</strong><strong></strong>
This module will be devoted to interdisciplinary issues of group work and team building (psychology, sociology, management). Training participants will be familiarising themselves with solutions used to build valuable teams, motivate and incentivise collaborators, set common goals and tasks, organise joint efforts, and coordinate work results. Through numerous practical tasks, they will be learning about the role of the group leader and mechanisms influencing group creation, dynamics, and efficiency. They also will undergo a set of simulations on “crisis in group communications&quot;, showing them how to break an impasse in a working group and solve substantive and emotional problems alike.
