Can you talk about difficult issues and be not overcome with emotion? Are you interested in how others present arguments for and against? Do you want to listen to opinions on burning questions of everyday life and express yours in English?

Foreign Language Centre invites all Lazarski University students to a debate on:
Is there limitation of individual freedom in a democratic state?
When: Wednesday 14 December at 14.40
Where: Lazarski University, room 561
Was Kant right to state that only when we act consciously obeying moral law we act as free people? Can laws imposed by a democratic state be in conflict with moral law? Are there any areas in which a state should not interfere? We are going to find answers to these and similar questions together.
We are inviting you to take part in the discussion.
Free entrance.
Do you want to improve your skills in public speaking, present opinions on discussed issues, confront beliefs you and other people hold, provide arguments for and against, and reason out convincing solutions? Will you try to attract students’ attention and build up authority?
