Previous programming experience is not required, but an interest in developing such skills will be an advantage.  

Studies programme

These studies programme is divided into the following, main blocks: 

  • Fundamentals of Economics and Finance: You will learn the theories of micro and macroeconomics related to financial markets and economic policy, enabling to understand the context of the economy at both local and global levels.
  • Programming and Data Analysis Techniques: You will learn programming in languages such as Python, R, and SQL, as well as how to work with large datasets / big data. You will master analytical tools and data processing technologies that are essential in today’s job market.
  • Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence: We will introduce you to machine learning, AI-driven models, and intelligent agents to optimize business processes and solve economic problems
  • Statistics and Econometrics: You will gain advanced knowledge in statistics and econometric modelling, enabling you to interpret data and build economic forecasts.
  • Data Visualization and Interpretation: You will learn to effectively present and communicate analytical insights using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and specialized visualization libraries, with a focus on interactive dashboards, and real-time data representation
  • Ethics and Data Security: You will explore modules dedicated to the ethical use of data, legal regulations such as GDPR, and principles for ensuring security in data analysis.
  • Practical Projects and Collaboration with Business: You will undertake group and individual projects based on real-world problems provided by partner companies, allowing you to gain experience and build relationships within the industry.
  • Data Storage and Processing Technologies: You will explore data storage and analysis technologies such as SQL and NoSQL databases, data warehouses, and data lakes, as well as the fundamentals of cloud architecture including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. The program also covers Big Data technologies like Apache Hadoop and aspects of network and server infrastructure that support the processing, analysis, and management of large datasets.
